Consultant Kao Attends the Inauguration of Voicing Out for the Parents and Kids

On March 15, 2024, Consultant Kao Ming-chiu of the Legislative Yuan attended at 11 a.m. the inauguration of Voicing Out for the Parents and Kids, convened by Legislator Ngalim Tiunn. Also in attendance were Legislators Lee Yen-hsiu, Wu Szu-yao, Su Chiao-hui, Chen Pei-yu, Wu Pei-yi, Wang Cheng-hsu, Kuo Yu-ching, Huang Chien Hao, Lee Kuen-cheng, Chung Chia-pin, Loh Mei-ling, and Lin Yueh-chin; Director Chien Hui-jiuan of the Social and Family Affairs Administration, under the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW); Director-General  Peng Fu-yuan of the K-12 Education Administration, under the Ministry of Education (MOE); Deputy Director General Wu Chu-chun of the Department of NGO International Affairs and Deputy Director General Roy Hsu of the Department of Treaty and Legal Affairs, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA); Executive Director Joanna Feng of the Humanistic Education Foundation (HEF); Secretary-General Ruby Pan of Taiwan Parks Playgrounds for Children by Children (TWPFC); Vice Secretary-General Kao Chih-han of Taiwan Gender Equity Education Association (TGEEA); Director Chiang Meng-chen of Covenants Watch; Director Chang You-chia of Taiwan Alliance for Advancement of Youth Rights and Welfare; Senior Specialist Chiu shih-chieh of Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF); Director Guan Fu of British Office Taipei; Political Assistant Sam Huang of the American Institute in Taiwan.
   
The inauguration commenced with the address by Convener Ngalim Tiunn and group photos with all the legislators and guests present, followed by a remark by Consultant Kao on behalf of the Legislative Yuan. Consultant Kao extended his most sincere congratulations and support for the establishment of Voicing Out for the Parents and Kids. Kao stated that we should help foster independence in children, and especially in the era of declining birthrates and the rise of AI technology, it is a must to assist children in developing self-expression and independent thinking. After the establishment of Voicing Out for the Parents and Kids, should there be any administrative support required, the Legislative Yuan will spare no effort to assist. In closing, Consultant Kao expressed hope that Voicing Out for the Parents and Kids can serve as a platform to convey people’s opinions, and he wished good health and great fortune to the guests present, as well as a success to the inauguration.
   
Later on, remarks were also given by Legislators Lee Yen-hsiu, Wu Szu-yao, Chen Pei-yu, and Su Chiao-hui; Director Chien of the Social and Family Affairs Administration; Executive Director Feng of HEF, Secretary-General Pan of TWPFC; Director Chang of Taiwan Alliance for Advancement of Youth Rights and Welfare. The event concluded after 40 minutes, with the organizational charter of the group passed and its president and vice presidents elected.
