The inauguration commenced with the taking of group photos of all the legislators and guests present, followed by a remark by Convener Lin Chu-yin, with the organizational charter of the Association passed and its president and vice presidents elected, before an address by Consultant Kao. Consultant Kao first expressed that it was an honor to attend the grand event on behalf of President Daniel K.Y. Han. With the booming high-tech industry today, the Internet and social media have become indispensable in people’s lives. For this reason, people in Taiwan have been paying attention to the development of our film and TV industry in recent years and looking forward to resources in Taiwan put to good use to create a better environment for the creation of audiovisual content. Consultant Kao emphasized that premium content of films, TV programs, and audio projects can only be generated in a free and democratic environment, so democracy is definitely the cornerstone for the development of the industry of media, film, TV, and audio. There have also been people with malicious intentions engaging in scams using audiovisual content, which is one of the common issues in using social media today. The industry, administrative authority, and the Legislative Yuan can work together in assisting the government to formulate comprehensive policies and regulations to prevent fraud, which is also one of the visions to be achieved with the establishment of this Association by Convener Lin. In closing, Consultant Kao wished great fortune to the industry representatives present, smooth operation of the Association in the future, and long-term prosperity and growth to the film and TV industry in Taiwan.
The event concluded after 45 minutes with remarks given by Legislator Su Chiao-hui as the newly elected vice president of the Association, Chairperson Tsai of TAICCA, and Deputy General Manager Lee of Taiwan Mobile.
