立法院張裕榮副秘書長於本（8月28）日下午在本院國際事務處林晨富處長陪同下，接見「愛達荷-懷俄明-阿拉斯加三州聯合議會領袖訪問團」一行11人，美國愛達荷州亞太區辦事處代表顏銀德先生亦到場作陪。

張副秘書長代表韓國瑜院長接見美國愛達荷州、懷俄明州及阿拉斯加州的議會領袖們，感謝各位訪賓長期關注台海情勢及支持台灣，此次專程蒞院交流互動，可見台美關係緊密友好，他代表中華民國立法院表達竭誠歡迎。
On the afternoon of August 28, Chang Yu-Jung, Deputy Secretary General of the Legislative Yuan, accompanied by Kevin C.F. Lin, Director of the Department of International Affairs, met with the Idaho-Wyoming-Alaska Tri-State Joint Leadership Delegation. The delegation comprised 11 members. Eddie Yen, representative of the State of Idaho-Asia Trade Office, also attended the meeting.
張副秘書長繼指出，愛達荷州、懷俄明州和阿拉斯加州與台灣在1980年代就締結姊妹關係，四十年來雙邊官方與民間互訪頻密，經貿及教育交流亦相當密切，加上各州議員對台灣的堅定支持，讓台美的國會外交關係持續深化、堅若磐石。今年是「台灣關係法」立法45週年，美國政府不僅依該法全面強化與台灣各項友好關係，更以具體行動落實對台灣的安全承諾。對此，他向訪賓致上最誠摯的謝意。
Chang, representing Daniel K.Y. Han, President of Legislative Yuan, welcomed legislative leaders from Idaho, Wyoming, and Alaska. He expressed gratitude for their long-term focus on the Taiwan Strait situation and support for Taiwan. Their visit to the Legislative Yuan for direct interaction reflects the close and friendly relations between Taiwan and the United States. On behalf of the Legislative Yuan of the Republic of China, he extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation.
張副秘書長續謂，本（第11）屆立法院自本（113）年2月就任迄今7個多月來，已經接待20多團來自美國參、眾議院訪賓及各界友人，更有美國國會議員助理和選區主任、各州議會、大學師生參訪26團，總計超過400人次，可見台美國會之間互動頻密。其中，愛達荷州州長李睿德（Brad Little）曾多次訪台，並將於今年11月再度率團訪台；懷俄明州也在台北設立了「懷州-亞洲貿易辦事處」；阿拉斯加州州長每年都致函祝賀我國國慶，這些都是台美夥伴關係日趨緊密的最好證明。
Chang further pointed out that Idaho, Wyoming, and Alaska established sister-state relations with Taiwan in the 1980s. Over the past 40 years, there have been frequent official and non-official exchanges with substantial economic, trade, and educational interactions. The strong support from state legislators have continually deepened the Taiwan-U.S. congressional relations. Incidentally, this year marks the 45th anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act (TRA). The U.S. government has not only strengthened various aspects of its friendly relations with Taiwan under this law, but also taken concrete actions to fulfill its security commitments to Taiwan. To this end, he expressed his deepest gratitude to the visitors for their contributions.
張副秘書長指出，本屆立法院有3個黨團及2位無黨籍的委員，113席委員中有55位新科委員，女性委員佔比高達41%，在亞洲各國國會中比例最高。另「臺美國會議員聯誼會」目前已有多達73名跨黨派委員加入，顯示立法院朝野對台美關係的高度重視。期盼台美國會、地方政府及議會未來有更多互訪，透過彼此交流分享，增進相互瞭解及深化雙邊實質友好關係。
Deputy Secretary General Chang pointed out that the current Legislative Yuan consists of three caucuses and two independent legislators. Among the 113 members, 55 are newly elected, with female legislators accounting for a significant 41%, the highest percentage among parliaments in Asia. Furthermore, the Legislative Yuan USA Caucus already includes 73 bipartisan members, reflecting the strong commitment from the ruling and opposition parties in the Legislative Yuan to Taiwan-U.S. relations. It is hoped that there will be more exchanges between the parliaments and local governments of Taiwan and the United States in the future, fostering mutual understanding and deepening bilateral relations through exchanges and interactions.
隨後，雙方就立法院跨黨派合作、新科委員培訓及女性委員比例等議題廣泛交換意見，會談氣氛友好愉快，在雙方互贈禮品及合影後，由國際事務處人員陪同導覽議場，此次參訪歷約90分鐘圓滿落幕。
Both sides then engaged in wide-ranging discussions on topics such as cross-party collaboration in the Legislative Yuan, training for newly-elected legislators, and the proportion of female legislators. The atmosphere of the meeting was cordial and pleasant. Following an exchange of gifts and a group photo, staff from the Department of International Affairs gave the delegation a tour of the legislative chamber. The visit concluded successfully after approximately 90 minutes.
