立法院韓國瑜院長於2月26日晚間應邀出席由「日本台灣交流協會」（以下稱日台交流協會）舉行之「天皇華誕慶祝酒會」。現場出席貴賓包括蕭美琴副總統、國家安全會議吳釗燮秘書長、監察院李鴻鈞副院長、立法院王金平前院長、「臺灣日本關係協會」蘇嘉全會長、國防部顧立雄部長、國民黨朱立倫主席，以及各國駐台使節代表等各界貴賓逾三百人共襄盛會。
On the evening of February 26, Legislative Yuan President Daniel K.Y. Han attended the 2025 Birthday Reception of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, hosted by the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association. The event was graced by distinguished guests including Vice President Hsiao Bi-Khim, Secretary-General of the National Security Council Jaushieh Joseph Wu, Vice President of the Control Yuan Lee Hung-Chun, former Legislative Yuan President Wang Jin-Pyng, President of the Taiwan-Japan Relations Association Su Jia-Chyuan, Minister of National Defense Koo Li-Hsiung, Kuomintang Chairman Eric Chu, and over 300 other dignitaries, including envoys and representatives from various diplomatic missions in Taiwan.
酒會於「日台交流協會」片山和之代表致詞後，繼邀韓院長上台致詞。韓院長首先表示很榮幸再度受邀以立法院院長身分出席日本天皇陛下華誕慶祝酒會，他代表立法院表達誠摯的賀忱，敬祝日本天皇政躬康泰、身體健康，也非常高興能再度與片山代表會面，倍感親切。院長繼謂，立法院為單一國會制，總計有113名委員，雖各黨派意見偶有不同，但是本屆加入立法院「台日交流聯誼會」人數高達85人，占比70%，足證跨黨派立委對台日關係的高度重視。另去（113）年台灣赴日突破604萬人次，雙邊科技、經貿、教育文化、農業等領域之交流亦持續深化廣化，顯見台日雙邊頻密友好。
Following the opening remarks by Representative Katayama Kazuyuki of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, President Han delivered his remarks. He expressed his honor at being invited again as President of the Legislative Yuan to the Emperor’s Birthday Celebration Reception. On behalf of the Legislative Yuan, he extended sincere congratulations and best wishes for the Emperor of Japan’s health and well-being. He also expressed pleasure at reconnecting with Representative Katayama. President Han went on to highlight that the Legislative Yuan operates under a unicameral system with a total of 113 members. Despite occasional differences among parties, 85 members—accounting for 70%—have joined the Legislative Yuan’s Taiwan-Japan Friendship Association, demonstrating strong bipartisan support for Taiwan-Japan relations. Additionally, he noted that in 2024, Taiwanese visitors traveled to Japan over 6.04 million times. Bilateral exchanges in fields such as technology, economics, trade, culture, education, and agriculture have also continued to deepen and expand, reflecting the strong and friendly ties between Taiwan and Japan.
院長續稱，本日稍早接待四位歐洲議會跨黨派歐洲議員到立法院訪問，其中三位議員是首次訪台，對台灣仍相當陌生，他向訪賓介紹，雖然台灣在人口、土地面積等條件不及其他國家，但內部卻展現出多元精彩的生命力，具有無比的發展潛力和影響力，如在全球供應鏈動見觀瞻的台積電，乃至生活百貨如汽車零組件，從傳統產業到高科技產業，台灣在很多領域都是世界的「隱形冠軍」。院長藉此呼籲，希望世界各國駐台使節代表除了看見台灣人民的善良和熱情外，也多關注台灣工商百業巨大的潛力，積極加強各國與台灣的合作，共創經濟繁榮。院長最後再次感謝片山代表邀請，並祝福所有出席貴賓平安健康，工作順利。
President Han further mentioned that earlier that day, he had welcomed four cross-party Members of the European Parliament to the Legislative Yuan. Among them, three were visiting Taiwan for the first time and were relatively unfamiliar with the country. He explained to the guests that, although Taiwan may be smaller in population and land area compared to other countries, it demonstrates diverse vitality and immense developmental potential. For instance, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is a leader in the global supply chain, and Taiwan excels in many different industries, from household goods and automotive components to high-tech, making it an “invisible champion” in many sectors. President Han called on diplomatic representatives in Taiwan to recognize not only the kindness and hospitality of the Taiwanese people but also the vast potential of Taiwan’s industries, encouraging enhanced cooperation to achieve economic prosperity. He concluded by thanking Representative Katayama for the invitation and wishing all guests health and success.
蕭副總統接續上台致詞後，主辦單位邀請蕭副總統、韓院長、蘇會長、吳秘書長、顧部長及在台日商代表上台，與片山代表伉儷一起邀請全體與會嘉賓共同舉杯向日本表達祝賀之意。酒會隨後展開，院長與片山代表及其他出席貴賓熱絡交流並合影留念，全場氣氛溫馨、輕鬆愉快，活動歷約2小時圓滿結束。
President Han’s remarks were followed by Vice President Hsiao delivering her remarks. Afterward, the organizers invited her along with President Han, Association President Su, Secretary-General Wu, Minister Koo, and representatives of Japanese businesses in Taiwan to join Representative Katayama and his spouse on stage. Together, they led a toast to Japan. The reception then unfolded with warm interactions between President Han, Representative Katayama, and other attendees, culminating in a group photo. The event was conducted in a congenial and relaxed atmosphere, and concluded successfully after approximately two hours.
