立法院韓國瑜院長於本（4月22）日中午在「中華民國立法院世界臺商之友會」會長江啟臣副院長、副會長民眾黨黃國昌委員、民進黨蘇巧慧委員、國際事務處林晨富處長，以及僑務委員會張良民副委員長等人陪同下，於立法院康園餐廳款宴「第37屆北美洲臺灣商會聯合總會」回國訪問團一行。
On the afternoon of April 22, Legislative Yuan President Daniel K.Y. Han hosted a banquet at the Kang-Yuan Restaurant of the Legislative Yuan for the 37th returning delegation of the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce of North America (TCCNA). He was accompanied by Vice President of the Legislative Yuan Dr. Johnny C. Chiang, who also serves as President of the Association of Overseas Taiwanese Businessmen of the Legislative Yuan, Republic of China; TPP Legislator and Vice President of the Association Huang Kuo-Chang; DPP Legislator Dr. Su Chiao-Hui; Director of the Department of International Affairs Kevin C.F. Lin; and Vice Minister of the Overseas Community Affairs Council Chang Liang-Ming.
韓院長熱烈歡迎訪團蒞臨立法院，並表示臺灣是一個充滿善良與熱情的地方，這不僅是臺商朋友的共同體認，也深獲國際友人肯定。韓院長並與來賓分享日前接待紐西蘭國會議員時，對方高度讚賞臺灣人的友善與溫暖，令他深感驕傲與光榮，相信所有僑胞也能深刻體會臺灣最獨特的人情味。
President Han warmly welcomed the delegation to the Legislative Yuan, noting that Taiwan is a land full of kindness and enthusiasm—an impression not only shared by Taiwanese businesspeople but also widely recognized by international friends. He shared that during a recent meeting with New Zealand parliamentarians, the guests highly praised the friendliness and warmth of the Taiwanese people, which filled him with pride and honor. He believed that all compatriots abroad could also deeply relate to Taiwan’s uniquely heartfelt hospitality.
韓院長續謂，海外臺商如同種子，隨風飄揚、落地生根，在世界各地茁壯成長、開花結果。尤其許多臺商白手起家，憑藉努力與毅力開創事業，結出碩果纍纍，成績斐然。院長進一步指出，臺灣面積雖小，但蘊含豐富生命力，雖然土地占世界萬分之三、人口占千分之三，但工業產品卻占全球高達百分之三，實屬難能可貴。面對近期美國關稅壁壘與地緣政治等嚴峻挑戰，臺灣唯有堅定前航，而臺商正是最堅實的風帆。期盼臺商朋友常回臺灣這個「娘家」，持續互動往來，也懇請大家協助扶植下一代臺灣青年，為國家延續經濟與外交動能。
President Han further stated that overseas Taiwanese businesspeople are like seeds—carried by the wind, taking root, flourishing, and bearing fruit around the world. Many of them started from scratch, establishing their businesses through hard work and perseverance, and have achieved remarkable success. He noted that while Taiwan’s land area makes up only 0.03% of the world’s total and its population just 0.3%, Taiwan’s industrial products account for an impressive 3% of global output. In light of current challenges, including U.S. tariff barriers and shifting geopolitical dynamics, President Han emphasized that Taiwan must forge ahead with resolve, with Taiwanese businesspeople serving as its most reliable sails. He encouraged the delegation to continue returning to Taiwan—their home—to maintain close ties and exchanges. He also called on them to help cultivate the next generation of Taiwanese youth to sustain Taiwan’s economic vitality and global outreach.
「北美洲臺灣商會聯合總會」陳世修總會長感謝韓院長、江副院長及在場委員撥冗接待，並提及江副院長去（2024）年訪美時所言：「支持臺商，是立法院不分黨派的三黨共識」，令人印象深刻、倍感榮幸。陳總會長繼指出，上（3）月率團赴美國華府展開「叩門之旅」，由來自北美各州共45位臺商代表組團，共計拜會74位美國聯邦參、眾議員，成功將臺灣的聲音傳遞至美國國會，獲得熱烈回響，充分展現臺商在國民外交上的實質貢獻。陳總會長並誠摯邀請韓院長、江副院長及各位委員，於今年6月赴美國德州達拉斯市出席「北美洲臺灣商會聯合總會年會」，期盼透過這場交流盛會，吸引更多美國國會議員關注臺灣，持續深化臺美雙邊關係。
TCCNA President Arthur Chen expressed his sincere gratitude to President Han, Vice President Chiang, and the attending legislators for taking the time to host the banquet. He recalled Vice President Chiang’s remarks during his 2024 visit to the United States where he emphasized that, “support for Taiwanese businesspeople is a bipartisan consensus across the three major parties in the Legislative Yuan”—a message that left a deep impression and was a great honor. President Chen also shared that in March, he led a delegation of 45 Taiwanese business representatives from various North American states to Washington, D.C., for a “door-knocking” visit. The delegation successfully met with 74 U.S. senators and representatives, effectively conveying Taiwan’s voice to the U.S. Congress and receiving a warm response—an achievement that underscored the vital role of Taiwanese businesspeople in citizen diplomacy. President Chen also took the opportunity to invite President Han, Vice President Chiang, and the attending legislators to attend the upcoming annual meeting of the TCCNA, scheduled for June in Dallas, Texas. He expressed hope that the event would foster increased engagement from U.S. congressional members and further strengthen Taiwan-U.S. relations.
隨後雙方互贈紀念品，韓院長並偕同出席委員與訪團成員合影留念，午宴正式展開。宴會期間，國民黨張智倫委員及葛如鈞委員亦特地撥冗蒞臨，向訪團表達誠摯歡迎。本次午宴歷約1小時40分鐘，氣氛熱絡、賓主盡歡，在溫馨歡樂的氛圍中圓滿結束。
Following the remarks, both sides exchanged commemorative gifts. President Han, together with the legislators and delegation members, posed for group photos to mark the occasion before officially commencing the banquet. During the event, KMT Legislators Chang Chih-Lun and Dr. Ko Ju-Chun made special appearances and extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The banquet lasted approximately one hour and forty minutes, unfolding in a lively and cordial atmosphere, and concluding on a warm and celebratory note.
