立法院韓國瑜院長於本（5月1）日中午款宴「日本自由民主黨青年局」中曾根康隆局長一行11人，由立法院「台日交流聯誼會」副會長洪孟楷委員、副會長黃珊珊委員、民進黨陳冠廷委員等跨黨派委員作陪，國際事務處楊芳苓副處長、外交部臺灣日本關係協會范振國秘書長、「日本台灣交流協會」台北事務所片山和之代表及村本千晶部長等人亦陪同。
On the afternoon of May 1, President of the Legislative Yuan Daniel K.Y. Han hosted a luncheon for an eleven-member delegation from Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Youth Division led by Director Nakasone Yasutaka. He was joined by cross-party legislators, including Taiwan-Japan Friendship Association Vice Chairpersons KMT Legislator Hung Mong-Kai and TPP Legislator Huang Shan-Shan, as well as DPP Legislator Chen Kuan-Ting. Also in attendance were Deputy Director General Yang Fang-Ling of the Department of International Affairs, Secretary-General Fan Chen-Kuo of the Taiwan-Japan Relations Association under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Chief Representative Katayama Kazuyuki and Director Muramoto Chiaki of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Taipei Office.
韓院長首先向「日本自由民主黨青年局」（以下簡稱「青年局」）一行表達誠摯歡迎，並偕出席委員及片山和之代表與訪團成員一同合影。院長致詞時表示，看到青年局成員充滿朝氣與活力，令他感受到青春的美好。自民黨青年局與立法院及台灣各界長期互動密切，友誼深厚，他也藉此機會特別感謝青年局多年來對台日友好關係的積極推動與貢獻。
President Han first extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Japan’s LDP Youth Division （hereinafter referred to as the “Youth Division”）and joined the attending legislators and Representative Katayama Kazuyuki for a group photo with the delegation members. In his remarks, President Han stated that seeing the Youth Division members filled with energy and vitality reminded him of the beauty of youth. President Han noted that the Youth Division of the LDP has long maintained close interactions with the Legislative Yuan and various sectors in Taiwan, fostering a deep friendship. He also took the opportunity to express his sincere appreciation for the Youth Division’s longstanding efforts and contributions in advancing Taiwan-Japan relations.
韓院長進一步與訪賓分享，他在35歲時首度擔任立法委員，今日看到日本新生代國會議員展現的活力，深信日本國會未來發展潛力無窮，並引用美國總統川普（Donald Trump）「Make America Great Again」（讓美國再次偉大）之話語，盼望日本新世代日本國會議員承先啟後「Make Japan Great Again」，引起現場熱烈共鳴。
President Han went on to share with the guests that he first served as a member of the Legislative Yuan at the age of 35. Seeing the energy and dynamism of Japan’s new generation of Diet members, he expressed strong confidence in the boundless potential of Japan’s parliamentary future. Quoting U.S. President Donald Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again,” President Han encouraged the young Japanese legislators to carry forward their legacy and usher in a new era to “Make Japan Great Again,” a remark that resonated with the attendees.
青年局中曾根康隆局長首先感謝韓院長及出席委員撥冗熱忱接待，並憶及2019年他首度與時任高雄市市長的韓院長會面，雙方互動良好，讓他留下深刻印象，而六年後再見面，韓院長現在已是代表台灣最高民意機關的立法院院長，雙方仍保持友好情誼，令他非常感動，期待未來韓院長訪日時，彼此有機會再度會晤。中曾根局長續提及他與在座委員淵源匪淺，和洪孟楷委員是情誼深厚的老朋友、黃珊珊委員曾於去(2024)年拜會自民黨黨團，以及此次訪台期間承蒙陳冠廷委員悉心招待，充分展現台日交流基礎深厚。中曾根局長最後表示，盼台日兩國在既有基礎上，持續深化交流合作，以促進雙邊關係的推展與繁榮發展。
Director Nakasone Yasutaka of the Youth Division began by expressing his gratitude to President Han and the attending legislators for their warm and generous reception. He recalled his first meeting with President Han in 2019, when President Han was serving as Mayor of Kaohsiung, and noted the positive interaction that left a deep impression on him. Now, six years later, seeing President Han serving as the head of Taiwan’s highest democratic body—the Legislative Yuan—while their friendship endures, moved him deeply. He expressed his hope that when President Han visits Japan in the future, they will have the opportunity to meet once again. Director Nakasone went on to highlight his close connections with the attending legislators, noting that he shares a longstanding friendship with KMT Legislator Hung Mong-Kai, that TPP Legislator Huang Shan-Shan visited the LDP caucus last year (2024), and that he was warmly hosted by DPP Legislator Chen Kuan-Ting during his Taiwan visit. These interactions, he said, exemplified the solid foundation of Taiwan-Japan exchanges. Director Nakasone concluded by expressing his hope that, building on the existing foundation, Taiwan and Japan will continue to deepen their exchanges and cooperation to further advance and enrich bilateral relations.
午宴交流時，韓院長及出席委員與訪團成員就台日國會運作、國會成員組成、民主自由與政經發展、深化雙邊國會互動等議題廣泛交換意見，又本(5)月適逢福田Kaoru眾議員生日，韓院長與在場委員特別向其致上祝福。最後，韓院長特別準備「立法院版紀念高粱酒」並親自簽名後致贈訪賓，以感謝青年局長期以來對我國的支持，訪賓亦回贈象徵開運與心想事成的不倒翁，象徵台日友誼長存。本次午宴歷約1小時30分鐘，氣氛熱絡，賓主盡歡。
During the luncheon, President Han and the attending legislators engaged in wide-ranging discussions with the delegation members on topics including the functioning of the Taiwanese and Japanese parliaments and their composition, the development of democracy, freedom, and political and economic affairs, as well as ways to deepen inter-parliamentary exchanges between the two countries. As this month also marks the birthday of House of Representatives Member Fukuda Kaoru, President Han and the legislators present took the opportunity to extend their warmest birthday wishes to her. Finally, President Han presented the guests with a special edition of the “Legislative Yuan Commemorative Kaoliang Liquor,” personally signed as a token of appreciation for the Youth Division’s longstanding support for Taiwan. In return, the delegation gifted a traditional daruma doll, symbolizing good fortune and the fulfillment of wishes, as a gesture of enduring friendship between Taiwan and Japan. The luncheon lasted approximately one hour and thirty minutes, marked by a warm and lively atmosphere, with both hosts and guests enjoying the occasion to the fullest.
