立法院韓國瑜院長於本（6月26）日下午接見「日本台灣交流協會」大橋光夫前會長一行，由立法院「台日交流聯誼會」副會長黃珊珊委員、國民黨王育敏委員、民進黨陳冠廷委員等跨黨派委員作陪，國際事務處楊芳苓副處長、外交部臺灣日本關係協會林郁慧副秘書長、「日本台灣交流協會」台北事務所片山和之代表及小林千乃專門調查員等人亦陪同。
President Daniel K.Y. Han of the Legislative Yuan met with former Chairman of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Ohashi Mitsuo and his delegation on the afternoon of June 26. The meeting was attended by cross-party legislators, including Vice Chair of the Taiwan-Japan Friendship Association TPP Legislator Huang Shan-Shan, KMT Legislator Wang Yu-Min, and DPP Legislator Chen Kuan-Ting. Also present were Deputy Director of the Department of International Affairs Yang Fang-Ling, Deputy Secretary-General of the Taiwan-Japan Relations Association under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lin Yu-Hui, Chief Representative of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Taipei Office Katayama Kazuyuki, and Senior Research Officer Kobayashi Chino.
為了表示對大橋光夫前會長的重視，韓院長親自於立法院正門迎接訪團一行，陪同大橋前會長前往會客室。韓院長致詞時首先向大橋前會長一行表達誠摯歡迎，並特別感謝大橋前會長自2011年起擔任「日本台灣交流協會」會長以來，致力推動台日雙邊交流與合作，14年來貢獻卓著，為台日關係奠下堅實基礎。院長指出，大橋前會長任內協助促成超過50項涵蓋經貿、投資、漁業、租稅、司法等多元領域的重要合作協定，在促進台日關係上扮演關鍵角色，此次大橋前會長離任拜會，各黨派皆派出委員出席接待，足見立法院對大橋前會長高度的肯定與重視。韓院長強調，面對當前國際局勢如海浪般波濤洶湧的多變挑戰，台日更應攜手合作、共度難關，期盼大橋前會長卸任後，仍能持續發揮影響力，支持台日深化交流及雙邊友好關係。
As a gesture of respect for former Chairman Ohashi, President Han personally welcomed the delegation at the main entrance of the Legislative Yuan and accompanied him to the reception room. In his remarks, President Han first extended a warm welcome to former Chairman Ohashi and his delegation. He expressed particular appreciation to Mr. Ohashi for his dedicated service since 2011 as Chairman of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, during which he made outstanding contributions to advancing bilateral exchanges and cooperation between Taiwan and Japan. President Han added that over the past 14 years, his efforts have laid a solid foundation for Taiwan-Japan relations. President Han noted that during his tenure, former Chairman Ohashi played a pivotal role in advancing Taiwan-Japan relations by helping facilitate the conclusion of more than 50 significant cooperation agreements across a wide range of areas, including trade, investment, fisheries, taxation, and judicial measures. He emphasized that legislators from across party lines had joined the reception for Mr. Ohashi’s farewell visit, underscoring the Legislative Yuan’s deep respect and high regard for his contributions. President Han emphasized that in the face of today’s turbulent and rapidly changing international landscape, Taiwan and Japan must stand together in solidarity to overcome shared challenges. He expressed his hope that even after stepping down, former Chairman Ohashi would continue to exert his influence in support of deepening exchanges and strengthening the friendly ties between Taiwan and Japan.
大橋光夫前會長致詞提到，擔任「日本台灣交流協會」會長一職以來，14年間雖歷經種種挑戰，仍靠著對台灣的熱愛與情感，以深化台日關係為己任的熱忱堅持至今。儘管卸下會長一職，他仍強調未來將持續以日本「國民政治協會」會長身分，為深化台日友誼盡棉薄之力。大橋前會長最後表示，當前許多國家與鄰國交惡，甚至陷入戰爭，但正因為彼此是鄰居，更應和睦相處，而台灣與日本的友誼可謂是全球的典範，若能將此關係擴展至全世界，將有助於消弭戰爭與核武威脅，邁向真正的和平。
In his remarks, former Chairman Ohashi reflected that over the 14 years he served as Chairman of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, he encountered numerous challenges, yet it was his deep affection for Taiwan and unwavering commitment to strengthening Taiwan-Japan relations that sustained his dedication throughout all those years. Although he has stepped down from his role as Chairman, Mr. Ohashi emphasized that he will continue to contribute to the deepening of Taiwan-Japan friendship in his capacity as Chair of the National Political Association. Mr. Ohashi concluded by noting that many countries today find themselves at odds with their neighbors, with some even descending into war. Precisely because nations are neighbors, he stressed, they should strive to live in harmony. He praised the friendship between Taiwan and Japan as a global model, adding that if such a relationship could be extended worldwide, it would help eliminate the threat of war and nuclear weapons, paving the way toward true peace.
雙邊交流時，黃珊珊委員提及其擔任台北市副市長期間，多次感受到日本對市政推動與防疫協助的支持，並指出立法院「台日交流聯誼會」不僅由韓院長擔任會長，並由三黨各推派一位副會長，是立法院規模最大的聯誼會，顯示立法院對台日交流的高度重視。黃委員續謂，在大橋前會長14年的任期內，台日友誼持續深化，雙邊關係穩步推進，成果斐然。大橋前會長在其中所發揮的關鍵作用有目共睹，她特別在此致上最深的敬意與誠摯感謝。
During the bilateral exchange, Legislator Huang recalled that during her tenure as Deputy Mayor of Taipei, she witnessed Japan’s strong support for municipal governance and epidemic response efforts. She also noted that the Legislative Yuan’s Taiwan-Japan Friendship Association, chaired by President Han and joined by one vice chair from each of the three major parties, is the largest caucus of its kind in the Legislative Yuan—demonstrating the legislature’s strong commitment to advancing Taiwan-Japan relations. Legislator Huang further remarked that during former Chairman Ohashi’s 14-year tenure, the Taiwan-Japan friendship continued to deepen and bilateral relations progressed steadily, yielding remarkable results. She emphasized that former Chairman Ohashi’s pivotal role in this process is evident to all, and she wished to express her deepest respect and sincere gratitude for his contributions.
王育敏委員提到大橋前會長的姓氏，亦象徵著「在台日間搭建堅實友誼橋梁」的涵義，感謝大橋前會長長年以來對台日關係的貢獻。王委員並分享擔任台中市副市長期間與日方的合作經驗，包括開通直航航線、締結姊妹市等。王委員最後表示，身為立法院社會福利及衛生環境委員會成員，希望能借鏡日本在相關領域的專業與經驗，期盼未來雙方能在長照與高齡醫療等面向展開更深入的合作與交流。
Legislator Wang remarked that former Chairman Ohashi’s surname, which means “great bridge,” also symbolizes his role in building a strong bridge of friendship between Taiwan and Japan. She expressed her gratitude for his many years of contributions to Taiwan-Japan relations. Legislator Wang also shared her experiences collaborating with Japanese counterparts during her tenure as Deputy Mayor of Taichung, including the launch of direct flight routes and the establishment of sister-city partnerships. Legislator Wang concluded by stating that as a member of the Legislative Yuan’s Social Welfare and Environmental Hygiene Committee, she hopes to draw on Japan’s expertise and experience in related fields. She expressed her anticipation for deeper cooperation and exchanges between Taiwan and Japan in areas such as long-term care and geriatric healthcare.
陳冠廷委員致詞時以流利日文發言，向大橋前會長表達14年來為台日關係貢獻之誠摯感謝，並表示大橋前會長為維繫台日關係的付出，令人敬佩；他也強調，未來將以大橋前會長為榜樣，持續在不同崗位上推動雙邊交流合作。
In his remarks delivered in fluent Japanese, Legislator Chen expressed his heartfelt gratitude to former Chairman Ohashi for his 14 years of contributions to Taiwan-Japan relations. He commended Mr. Ohashi’s unwavering dedication to sustaining the bilateral relationship, noting that his efforts are truly admirable. He also emphasized that he would look to former Chairman Ohashi as a role model and remain committed to advancing bilateral exchanges and cooperation in his various roles in the future.
雙方嗣就台日關係、大阪世界博覽會及國際局勢等議題廣泛交換意見，此次拜會歷約30分鐘，氣氛熱絡，韓院長特別準備台灣知名糕點餽贈訪賓，盼以台灣的美食讓訪團留下美好回憶，雙方互贈紀念品及合影留念後，韓院長親自送別大橋前會長及訪團成員，為今日會晤畫下圓滿的句點。
The two sides engaged in a wide-ranging exchange of views on topics including Taiwan-Japan relations, the Osaka World Expo, and the international situation. The meeting lasted approximately 30 minutes and was marked by a warm and cordial atmosphere. President Han specially prepared a selection of Taiwan’s renowned pastries as gifts for the delegation, hoping to leave them with fond memories of Taiwan’s culinary culture. Following an exchange of souvenirs and a commemorative group photo, President Han personally bid farewell to former Chairman Ohashi and the visiting delegation, bringing the meeting to a successful conclusion.
