立法院韓國瑜院長偕江啟臣副院長於7月2日晚間應邀出席由美國在台協會（American Institute in Taiwan, AIT）主辦之「美國獨立紀念日慶祝酒會」。現場出席貴賓雲集，包括蕭美琴副總統、國家安全會議吳釗燮秘書長；立法院「臺美國會議員聯誼會」柯志恩委員、葛如鈞委員、「中華職業棒球大聯盟」會長蔡其昌委員、范雲委員、沈伯洋委員、陳冠廷委員；行政院外交部林佳龍部長等各部會首長及政務委員；中國國民黨朱立倫主席；台積電張忠謀創辦人、聯電曹興誠創辦人，以及多國駐臺使節與代表等政、學、商及外交界人士逾五百人共襄盛舉，場面隆重熱烈。
On the evening of July 2, Legislative Yuan President Daniel K.Y. Han and Vice President Dr. Johnny C. Chiang attended the U.S. Independence Day reception hosted by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT). The event was graced by numerous distinguished guests, including Vice President Hsiao Bi-Khim; Secretary General of the National Security Council Jaushieh Joseph Wu; KMT Legislator and Co-Chair of the Legislative Yuan USA Caucus, Dr. Ko Chih-En; KMT Legislator Dr. Ko Ju-Chun; DPP Legislator and President of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), Tsai Chi-Chang; as well as DPP Legislators Dr. Fan Yun, Dr. Puma Shen, and Chen Kuan-Ting. Also in attendance were Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Lin Chia-Lung, other Cabinet members and Ministers without Portfolio, KMT Chairman Eric Chu, TSMC Founder Morris Chang, UMC Founder Robert Tsao, and over 500 guests from the political, academic, business, and diplomatic communities. The atmosphere was grand and festive.
酒會在演唱美國國歌中揭開序幕，隨後由美國在台協會谷立言（Raymond F. Greene）處長與蕭美琴副總統上台致詞。雙方致詞後互贈具紀念意義之客製化簽名棒球衣，並邀請現場全體貴賓以AIT版啤酒共同舉杯，慶祝美國獨立249週年紀念日。
The reception began with the singing of the U.S. national anthem, followed by remarks from AIT Director Raymond F. Greene and Vice President Hsiao. After their speeches, the two exchanged custom-made, autographed baseball jerseys and invited all guests to raise a toast with AIT-branded beer in celebration of the 249th anniversary of U.S. independence.
今年美國獨立紀念日慶祝酒會以風靡美台的「棒球運動」作為主題，不少賓客都特別穿上棒球衣、配掛棒球飾品，或戴上主辦單位所準備代表美國國旗的紅藍白三色棒球帽，還有一隻代表中華職棒的吉祥物穿梭其間，會場氣氛隆重又不失熱絡。
This year’s reception adopted baseball—a beloved sport in both the U.S. and Taiwan—as its central theme. Many attendees wore baseball jerseys, sported baseball-themed accessories, or donned red, white, and blue caps representing the U.S. flag, provided by the organizers. A mascot representing the CPBL also roamed the venue, adding to the vibrant yet dignified atmosphere.
韓國瑜院長與江啟臣副院長特別委託臺中知名球棒製造商，訂製美國職棒大聯盟（MLB）規格之木製魚雷球棒，球棒上題有「臺美關係全壘打」字樣，由韓院長與江副院長聯合署名，並偕「臺美國會議員聯誼會」共同會長柯志恩委員將象徵臺美友誼之紀念球棒贈予谷處長，期盼透過臺美雙邊對棒球的熱愛，維繫彼此友好情誼，並期盼未來臺美關係繼續穩健向前、歷久彌新。
President Han and Vice President Chiang specially commissioned a well-known Taichung-based bat manufacturer to create a custom-made wooden baseball bat crafted to Major League Baseball (MLB) specifications. The bat was inscribed with the phrase “Home run for Taiwan-U.S. relations” and jointly signed by President Han and Vice President Chiang. Together with Legislator Ko Chih-En, Co-Chair of the Legislative Yuan USA Caucus, they presented the commemorative bat to Director Greene as a symbol of the lasting friendship between Taiwan and the U.S. They expressed hope that through the shared love of baseball, bilateral ties would continue to deepen and endure.
慶祝酒會接續展開，現場氣氛溫馨融洽，洋溢著友好與祝賀情誼，活動歷約兩小時圓滿落幕。
The celebration continued in a warm and convivial atmosphere, filled with camaraderie and goodwill. The event lasted approximately two hours and concluded successfully.
