立法院韓國瑜院長於本（7月11）日中午在「中華民國立法院世界臺商之友會」副會長傅崐萁委員、副會長鍾佳濱委員、國民黨許宇甄委員、民眾黨林國成委員、國際事務處林晨富處長，以及僑務委員會張良民副委員長等人陪同下，於立法院康園餐廳款宴「世界臺灣商會聯合總會第31屆回國訪問團」一行。
At noon on July 11, President Daniel K.Y. Han of the Legislative Yuan hosted a banquet at the Kang-Yuan restaurant of the Legislative Yuan for the 31st Homecoming Delegation of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce. He was accompanied by KMT Legislator Fu Kun-Chi and DPP Legislator Chung Chia-Pin, Vice Presidents of the Association of Overseas Taiwanese Businessmen of the Legislative Yuan, along with KMT Legislator Hsu Yu-Chen, TPP Legislator Lin Kuo-Chen, International Affairs Department Director Kevin C.F. Lin, and Vice Minister Chang Liang-Ming of the Overseas Community Affairs Council.
韓院長致詞時首先歡迎訪賓，表示今日由跨黨派立委共同出席，顯示立法院對海外僑胞長期貢獻的高度重視。他指出，「世界臺灣商會聯合總會」（簡稱「世總」）由六大洲臺灣商會聯合總會組成，是凝聚全球臺商力量的重要核心。不僅促進國際社會認識臺灣、提升國際能見度，也建構出緊密且團結的臺商人脈網絡。僑胞彼此扶持、互相幫襯，總在關鍵時刻發揮關鍵影響力，特別是「世總」過去十六年來持續關懷罕見疾病病友，至今已幫助563個家庭，展現臺商對家鄉深厚的感情與實質貢獻。
In his remarks, President Han first extended a warm welcome to the delegation, noting that the presence of legislators from across party lines underscored the Legislative Yuan’s strong recognition of the longstanding contributions made by overseas compatriots. He noted that the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce (WTCC), composed of regional federations across six continents, serves as a vital hub for uniting the strength of Taiwanese business communities worldwide. President Han added that the WTCC not only enhances global awareness of Taiwan and elevates its international visibility, but also fosters a close-knit and united network of Taiwanese businesspeople around the world. He further mentioned that overseas compatriots have long supported one another, extending mutual assistance and playing a pivotal role at critical moments. In particular, the WTCC has demonstrated deep affection and delivered tangible contributions to their homeland by continuously supporting patients with rare diseases over the past 16 years—an effort that has benefited 563 families to date.
韓院長續謂，面對當前國際局勢嚴峻，歐洲、中東及亞太地緣政治衝突頻繁，臺灣更須仰賴全球僑界的連結與支持，在關鍵時刻發揮舉足輕重的作用，共同拓展中華民國的國際空間，靈活務實推動外交與僑務工作。因此，在國防、外交與僑務等攸關國家利益的重要議題上，朝野應摒棄分歧、攜手合作，方能在國際社會中共同守護臺灣，讓世界看見臺灣，進而提升整體國家安全。
President Han went on to say that in light of the current complex global landscape—marked by frequent geopolitical tensions in Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific—Taiwan must all the more rely on the support and connections of overseas compatriots. He emphasized that their indispensable role at critical junctures is essential to expanding the international space of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and advancing diplomatic and overseas community affairs with flexibility and pragmatism. He therefore stressed that on key issues vital to national interests—such as national defense, diplomacy, and overseas community affairs—all political parties must set aside their differences and work in unity, adding that only through such cooperation can Taiwan be safeguarded in the international arena, its presence made visible to the world, and its overall national security effectively strengthened.
韓院長進一步指出，除了科技產業享譽國際之外，遍佈世界各地的臺商也默默在各自領域中脫穎而出，成為不為人知的「隱形冠軍」。若能整合現有的產業、觀光與外交資源，並結合強大的僑務力量，將有助我國拓展對外關係，成為臺灣走向國際的新亮點。院長並強調，在第11屆立法院朝野三黨皆未過半的情況下，儘管在部分議題上意見分歧、辯論激烈，但在對外事務與僑界事務上，支持僑胞始終是跨黨派的共識。他強調立法院將持續作為僑胞的堅實後盾，全力提供必要協助。最後，院長祝福訪團成員此行平安順利、身心安康，並誠摯邀請各全球臺商朋友們多來多往、與家鄉保持緊密聯繫。
President Han further noted that in addition to Taiwan’s internationally renowned technology industry, Taiwanese businesspeople around the world have quietly distinguished themselves in their respective fields, emerging as unsung “hidden champions.” He added that by integrating existing resources in industry, tourism, and diplomacy with the strength of the overseas Taiwanese community, Taiwan will be better positioned to expand its external relations and create new highlights in its engagement with the international community. President Han also emphasized that although no party holds a majority in the 11th Legislative Yuan—resulting in sharp debates and differing views on certain issues—there remains a strong cross-party consensus in supporting overseas compatriots and advancing external affairs. He stressed that the Legislative Yuan will continue to serve as a steadfast pillar of support for overseas compatriots, fully committed to providing all necessary assistance. In closing, President Han wished the delegation a safe, smooth, and fulfilling visit, and extended a sincere invitation to Taiwanese businesspeople around the world to maintain close ties with their homeland through continued engagement and exchange.
「世界臺灣商會聯合總會」吳光宜總會長感謝韓院長及在場委員撥冗熱情接待，他表示，立法院及「中華民國立法院世界臺商之友會」長期以來對臺商的支持超越黨派，堪稱「世總」最強力的後盾。作為最高民意機關，立法院在維護民主價值、推動立法進程及監督施政方面，發揮關鍵作用，也讓國際看見臺灣民主制度的成熟與韌性。吳總會長繼指出，「世總」持續在全球六大洲以民間力量深化與各界交流，積極與各國互動，期望發揮由下而上的影響力，協助擴展臺灣國際能見度。他也鼓勵僑胞踴躍參與當地選舉事務，透過實際行動強化國民外交韌性，深化與各國實質友好關係，進而拓展台灣國際地位與能見度。最後，他再次感謝立法院的熱忱接待，並承諾臺商與僑胞將持續透過各種方式支持臺灣國際參與，發揮實質影響力。
President Kenneth Wu of the WTCC expressed his gratitude to President Han and the attending legislators for their warm and generous hospitality. He remarked that the Legislative Yuan and the Association of Overseas Taiwanese Businessmen of the Legislative Yuan have long provided steadfast, cross-party support for Taiwanese business communities abroad, serving as the WTCC’s strongest and most reliable pillar. He added that as the nation’s highest representative body, the Legislative Yuan plays a pivotal role in safeguarding democratic values, advancing the legislative process, and overseeing government administration—demonstrating to the world the maturity and resilience of Taiwan’s democratic system. President Wu went on to note that the WTCC continues to deepen engagement across six continents through grassroots initiatives, actively fostering interaction with various sectors worldwide. He expressed hope that this bottom-up influence will help enhance Taiwan’s international visibility. He also encouraged overseas compatriots to actively participate in local electoral affairs, thereby strengthening the resilience of Taiwan’s citizen diplomacy through concrete actions. Such engagement, he noted, will deepen substantive friendships with other nations and further elevate Taiwan’s international standing and visibility. In conclusion, he once again expressed his sincere appreciation for the Legislative Yuan’s warm hospitality and affirmed that Taiwanese businesspeople and overseas compatriots will continue to support Taiwan’s international participation through various means, exerting tangible influence on the global stage.
隨後雙方互贈紀念品，韓院長並偕同出席委員與訪團成員合影留念，午宴正式展開。本次午宴歷約1小時40分鐘，席間傅委員、鍾委員、許委員及林委員亦分別與訪團成員親切交流，現場氣氛熱絡、賓主盡歡，午宴在溫馨歡樂的氛圍中圓滿結束。
The two sides then exchanged commemorative gifts, after which President Han, joined by the attending legislators, took a group photo with the delegation members. The luncheon then formally commenced. The luncheon lasted approximately one hour and forty minutes, during which Legislators Fu, Chung, Hsu, and Lin engaged warmly with members of the delegation. The atmosphere was lively and convivial, with both hosts and guests enjoying the occasion. The event concluded successfully on a warm and joyful note.
