立法院韓國瑜院長於本（7月17）日晚間出席「亞洲臺灣商會聯合總會」（下稱「亞總」）假臺北漢來大飯店舉辦之第32屆第3次理監事聯席會議立法院晚宴，與會貴賓包括立法院王鴻薇委員、張嘉郡委員、陳玉珍委員、許宇甄委員、陳菁徽委員、鍾佳濱委員、張雅琳委員、邱志偉委員、邱議瑩委員、林楚茵委員、陳瑩委員、蘇巧慧委員、王定宇委員、林宜瑾委員、麥玉珍委員、僑務委員會阮昭雄副委員長、新竹市邱臣遠代理市長、「新加坡駐臺北商務辦事處」葉偉傑代表（Mr. Yip Wei Kiat）、「駐臺汶萊貿易旅遊代表處」謝愛清代表（Ms. Sia Ai Ching）、「世界臺灣商會聯合總會」吳光宜總會長、中央社李永得董事長、相關部會代表等人，以及來自世界各地的臺商夥伴近千人共襄盛會。
On the evening of July 17, President Daniel K.Y. Han of the Legislative Yuan attended a dinner banquet hosted by the Asia Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce (ASTCC) in celebration of the 3rd board meeting of the 32nd ASTCC. The banquet, held at the Grand Hilai Hotel in Taipei, saw the attendance of prominent guests, including KMT Legislators Wang Hung-Wei, Dr. Alice Chang, Chen Yu-Jen, Hsu Yu-Chen, Chen Ching-Hui; DPP Legislators Chung Chia-Pin, Ngalim Tiunn, Dr. Chiu Chih-Wei, Chiu Yi-Ying, Lin Chu-Yin, Dr. Chen Ying, Su Chiao-Hui, Dr. Wang Ting-Yu, Lin I-Chin; TPP Legislator Mai Yu-Chen; Overseas Community Affairs Council Deputy Chairman Joshua Jhao-Syong Ruan; Acting Mayor of Hsinchu City Chiu Chen-Yuan; Representative of the Singapore Trade Office in Taipei Yip Wei Kiat; Representative of the Brunei Darussalam Trade and Tourism Office in Taipei Sia Ai Ching; President of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce (WTCC) Kenneth Wu, as well as Chairman of the Central News Agency (CNA) Lee Yung-Te. Also in attendance were representatives from various agencies and about one thousand Taiwanese business partners from across the globe.
活動由來自雲林縣的專業鼓藝團的精湛表演揭開序幕，繼邀請「亞總」林凱民總會長及韓院長分別上台致詞。韓院長致詞時首先歡迎所有臺商僑胞們回「娘家」-臺灣，並表示今日有三個黨派十多位立委出席，顯示立法院對海外臺商及僑胞長期對國家的付出和貢獻的高度重視。他指出，「亞洲臺灣商會聯合總會」自1993年創會以來，始終團結亞洲各地臺商，積極拓展國際市場、深化區域合作，是亞洲最具影響力的臺商組織之一。
The event kicked off with a stunning performance by a professional drumming troupe from Yunlin County. Following the performance, ASTCC President Lin Kai-Min and President Han were invited to deliver their speeches. In his remarks, President Han first warmly welcomed all Taiwanese businesspeople and overseas compatriots back to their homeland, Taiwan. He noted that the presence of over ten legislators from the three political parties underscored the Legislative Yuan's strong recognition of the long-standing contributions and dedication that overseas Taiwanese businesspeople and expatriates have made to the country. President Han said that since its establishment in 1993, the ASTCC has consistently united Taiwanese businesspeople across Asia, actively expanded international markets, and deepened regional cooperation, making it one of the most influential organizations for Taiwanese businesspeople in the region.
韓院長續表示，「亞總」除了在經濟上的卓越貢獻，長年在公益領域的表現更是有目共睹。僑胞們雖長年旅居海外，卻始終心繫臺灣，特別是當臺灣需要支持與協助的時刻，僑胞總是第一時間伸出援手。無論是花蓮強震發生後第一時間發起賑災捐款、支援緬甸地震災區的物資等，大家始終以實際行動展現企業社會責任，更讓世界看見臺灣的溫暖、善良與人情味，大幅提升臺灣的國際能見度，令人深感敬佩。
President Han further stated that, in addition to its exceptional contributions to the economy, the ASTCC has also demonstrated remarkable dedication to public welfare over the years—a commitment widely recognized by all. He mentioned that although many overseas compatriots have lived abroad for decades, their hearts remain firmly connected to Taiwan, adding that in times when Taiwan has needed support and assistance, they have always been the first to step forward. President Han pointed out that whether through swift fundraising deeds following the Hualien earthquake or sending relief aid to earthquake-stricken areas in Myanmar, actions from overseas compatriots have continuously embodied corporate social responsibility. He commented that these heartfelt contributions not only reflect the warmth, kindness, and compassion of the Taiwanese people but also significantly enhance Taiwan’s visibility on the international stage—an accomplishment truly deserving of appreciation.
韓院長繼謂，本屆立法院女性立委共48位，占總席次的42.5%，顯示臺灣國會在性別平權上所獲致的卓越成果。雖然在若干內政議題上各黨團立場不盡相同，但在「支持海外臺商」這一點上，朝野委員向來一致認同並全力支持。立法院是所有僑胞的娘家，會持續作大家在國際市場馳騁最堅實的後盾。
President Han continued by highlighting that the current legislature consists of 48 female legislators, which makes up 42.5% of the total seats, reflecting Taiwan’s outstanding achievements in gender equality within the Legislative Yuan. He noted, while each party may have differing stances on certain domestic issues, all political parties are united in their support for overseas Taiwanese businesspeople. President Han also affirmed that the Legislative Yuan serves as the "home" for all overseas compatriots, and as they continue their endeavor in international markets, the Legislative Yuan will remain a steadfast and unwavering pillar of support for them.
韓院長進一步指出，海外臺商如同種子，隨風飄揚、落地生根，在世界各地茁壯成長、開花結果。他強調，當前全球地緣政治不穩定且國際局勢日益嚴峻，在面臨這些多重挑戰之際，臺灣更須仰賴全球僑商界的連結與支持，在關鍵時刻發揮舉足輕重的作用，共同拓展中華民國的國際空間，靈活務實推動外交與僑務工作。
President Han went on to stress that overseas Taiwanese businesspeople are like seeds, carried by the wind, taking root wherever they land, and flourishing across the world. He remarked that, in light of the global geopolitical instability and rising tensions nowadays, Taiwan must rely on the support and connections of the international Taiwanese business community to navigate these multiple challenges. President Han stated that at critical moments, Taiwanese businesspeople have played a pivotal role in expanding the international space of the Republic of China, while flexibly and pragmatically advancing both diplomatic and overseas Chinese affairs.
韓院長特別提及，去（2024）年我國對亞太地區的貿易總額占整體對外貿易將近五成，超過4,000億美元，顯示臺灣經濟與亞太市場的高度連動及緊密往來，這份亮麗的成績單得來不易，「亞總」全體會員齊心努力功不可沒。根據「世界貿易組織」（WTO）今（2025）年4月公布的《全球貿易展望與統計》報告指出，面對美國的新關稅政策、貿易戰升溫等挑戰，預估全球商品貿易量將下滑0.2%。然而，我國對亞太地區的貿易總額在今年上半年仍逆勢成長21%，達到2,347億美元，展現出亞太市場的強大韌性與發展潛力。這些卓越的成果，正是各位臺商朋友在地深耕、共同努力的成果，他由衷敬佩與感謝。
President Han specifically mentioned that, in 2024, Taiwan's total trade with the Asia-Pacific region accounted for nearly 50% of its overall foreign trade, exceeding US$400 billion. He said that this demonstrates the high level of economic integration and close exchanges between Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific market. President Han praised that such impressive results have not come easily, and the concerted efforts of all members of the ASTCC have been instrumental in achieving this success. According to the World Trade Organization's (WTO) Global Trade Outlook and Statistics report published in April 2025, global trade is expected to decline by 0.2% due to challenges such as the U.S.’ new tariff policies and escalating tensions from trade wars. However, despite these obstacles, Taiwan's trade with the Asia-Pacific region grew by 21% in the first half of this year, reaching US$234.7 billion. President Han highlighted that such growth underscores the resilience and potential of the Asia-Pacific market. He then pointed out that these remarkable achievements are the direct result of the hard work and collaborative undertakings of Taiwanese businesspeople on the ground. In recognition of their contributions, President Han expressed his sincere respect and gratitude.
韓院長最後強調，臺灣在面臨艱困的外交處境，更須仰賴國會外交以及僑務外交的緊密結合，臺灣才能在變局中穩健前行，他也再次代表立法院向所有臺商朋友表達感謝，並歡迎大家與立法院保持緊密合作。隨後林總會長代表「亞總」頒贈一面感謝獎牌予韓院長並合影留念。
In closing, President Han emphasized that, given Taiwan's challenging diplomatic situation, it is crucial to rely on the strong integration of parliamentary diplomacy and overseas Chinese efforts in order to progress steadily amidst the ever-changing political landscape. President Han once again expressed his gratitude to all Taiwanese business partners on behalf of the Legislative Yuan and stated that he looked forward to their close cooperation. Following this speech, on behalf of the ASTCC, President Lin presented a commemorative plaque of appreciation to President Han and took a commemorative photo together.
晚宴正式展開後，韓院長及各黨團立委分別與來自全球各地的臺商夥伴熱絡交流，並合影留念，活動歷約兩小時，熱鬧愉快，在歡欣的氣氛中圓滿結束。
The banquet officially commenced with President Han and legislators from the three political parties engaging in warm and lively exchanges with Taiwanese business partners from around the world; President Han also took group photos with the attendees. The banquet lasted approximately two hours in a vibrant and cordial atmosphere, ultimately concluding on a positive and successful tone.
