立法院韓國瑜院長於本（11）日晚間，在江啟臣副院長、國民黨王鴻薇委員、翁曉玲委員、民進黨莊瑞雄委員、郭昱晴委員、民眾黨張啟楷委員，以及外交部「臺灣日本關係協會」張淑玲總領事等人陪同下，款宴由「中華民國留日京都華僑總會」會長魏禧之（GI Yoshiyuki）偕同「京都市議會日臺親善議員聯盟」會長寺田一博（TERADA Kazuhiro）議員及「京都日臺親善協會」會長小島裕史（KOJIMA Hiroshi）等一行26人的聯合訪問團。
Legislative Yuan President Daniel K.Y. Han (韓國瑜) hosted a dinner banquet for the Republic of China Overseas Chinese Association in Kyoto tonight (Dec 11) along with Vice President Dr. Johnny C. Chiang (江啟臣), KMT Legislators Wang Hung-Wei and Dr. Weng Hsiao-Ling, DPP Legislators Dr. Chuang Jui-Hsiung and Kuo Yu-Ching, TPP Legislator Chang Chi-Kai, and Consul General Chang Shu-Ling of the Taiwan-Japan Relations Association, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Led by Chairman Gi Yoshiyuki, the Kyoto Overseas Chinese Association delegation comprised 26 members in total, including Assembly Member Terada Kazuhiro, Chairman of Kyoto City Assembly Japan-Taiwan Friendship League, and Kojima Hiroshi, Chair of Kyoto’s Japan-Taiwan Friendship Association.
韓院長首先代表立法院誠摯歡迎魏禧之會長及來自日本京都的各界友人。韓院長特別感謝魏會長於9月立法院跨黨派訪問團訪日期間的熱情款待，並特別提及該次訪日三黨皆派出代表，共有11位立委參加，收穫豐碩，院長並以幽默的譬喻表示此行雖然行程緊湊，但精神充實、心懷感恩。
On behalf of the Legislative Yuan, President Han extended a warm welcome to Chairman Gi, as well as partners and friends from Kyoto. In particular, President Han expressed gratitude for Chairman Gi’s hospitality when he received the Legislative Yuan’s cross-party delegation to Japan in September, a very fruitful visit that comprised 11 legislators from Taiwan’s three major parties. President Han also light-heartedly highlighted how inspired and appreciative the delegation members were despite the tight itinerary.
韓院長進一步指出，立法院目前共有113位委員，雖然三黨在國會殿堂中時有不同意見與辯論，但在對外交流上始終能夠團結一致、立場明確。他並回顧上次赴日本訪問期間，曾拜會日本野田佳彥前首相，會面時，野田前首相表達對推動台日關係的高度支持，讓他深切感受到兩個長久以來的友誼與互信基礎。
President Han further elaborated that at present, the Legislative Yuan has 113 legislators. Although the three parties often express different opinions and debate with one another in Parliament sessions, they always form a united front with a firm stance when it comes to external interactions. He recalled that in the last visit to Japan, they went to see former Prime Minister Noda Yoshihiko. During the meeting, Prime Minister Noda strongly supported the promotion of Japan-Taiwan relations, and President Han was deeply moved by the long-term friendship and mutual trust expressed.
韓院長最後強調，他十分珍惜今晚與京都地區老朋友們重逢的機會，衷心感謝日本長期以來對臺灣的支持與情誼，並祝臺日友誼長存、交流永續。
Last but not least, President Han reiterated that he very much cherished the opportunity to meet old friends from Kyoto tonight. He wholeheartedly thanked Japan for its support and friendship with Taiwan, and expressed his best wishes for a lasting relationship.

He recalled when he first met President Han in Osaka last September, and was delighted to see President Han again this time in Taipei. He pointed out that he would continue to promote Japan-Taiwan exchanges in the future, including visits of legislators and assembly members, as well as youth engagements. Chairman Gi noted that the Japan delegation comprised multiple Kyoto City Assembly Members, showcasing that Japan places a great emphasis on friendship with Taiwan. He commended President Han’s effort in deepening parliament engagements between Japan and Taiwan, and strengthening the affinity between the people, and he also looked forward to more cooperation in different fields in the future. Lastly, he said he would spare no effort in promoting more parliament visits and dialogues, and sincerely invited President Han to visit Kyoto in the future to deepen the goodwill between both countries.

In his remarks, Chairman Terada first thanked President Han for the warm reception and mentioned that he was moved by the ardent friendship when he shook President Han’s hand. He emphasized the fact that many assembly members brought their spouses along for the visit showed the fondness of the Japan delegation towards Taiwan. He looked forward to more substantial engagements between Kyoto and Taiwan in cultural exchange as well as other aspects in the future.
