立法院韓國瑜院長接見馬紹爾群島共和國卡蒂爾大使一行 韓國瑜:台馬邦誼穩固 盼持續深化多元合作關係 President Daniel K.Y. Han of the Legislative Yuan receives delegation led by H.E. Ambassador Anjanette Kattil of the Republic of the Marshall Islands; President Han: Taiwan and the Marshall Islands enjoy solid diplomatic ties, and we look forward to further deepening multifaceted cooperation. 立法院韓國瑜院長今(3月26)日下午,在「中華民國與馬紹爾群島暨貝里斯國會議員友好聯誼會」會長盧縣一委員陪同下,接見「馬紹爾群島共和國大使館」卡蒂爾(Anjanette Kattil)大使及傑龍(Cassailis Jarom)副館長一行。
On the afternoon of March 26, Legislative Yuan President Daniel K.Y. Han (韓國瑜), accompanied by Legislator and Chairman Dr. Lu Hsien-Yi of the Taiwan-Marshall Islands-Belize Parliamentary Friendship Association, received a delegation led by H.E. Ambassador Anjanette Kattil and Deputy Chief of Mission Cassailis Jarom from the Embassy of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

韓院長歡迎卡蒂爾大使來訪,表示台馬建交28年,邦誼穩固,雙方同屬南島語系,交流基礎深厚。未來可於醫療衛生、高科技、漁業及教育人才培育等領域深化合作,並指出馬紹爾具觀光潛力,盼促進台灣民眾赴當地旅遊,強化民間交流。
President Han welcomed Ambassador Kattil, noting that Taiwan and the Marshall Islands have maintained diplomatic relations for 28 years and enjoy a solid friendship. He added that both countries belong to the Austronesian language family and share a strong foundation for exchange. President Han expressed that the two sides could deepen cooperation in healthcare, high-tech, fisheries, education, and talent cultivation. He further pointed out that the Marshall Islands have strong tourism potential and expressed hope that people in Taiwan would travel there, thereby enhancing people-to-people exchanges.

卡蒂爾大使代表馬紹爾群島總統海妮(Hilda Heine)、國會議長瓦西(Brenson Wase)及政府表達問候,指出雙方自1998年建交以來合作密切,台灣為重要夥伴。並感謝韓院長於馬國國會大樓火災時致函關懷,盼持續在醫療、氣候變遷、環境保護及基礎建設等領域深化合作,強調兩國邦誼穩固,國會友台決議均獲跨黨派支持。
Ambassador Kattil responded with greetings on behalf of President Hilda Heine, Speaker of the Nitijela (parliament) Brenson Wase, and the government of the Marshall Islands. She noted that the two countries have cooperated closely since establishing diplomatic ties in 1998 and that Taiwan is a key partner. She also thanked President Han for his letter of concern following the fire at the Nitijela building and expressed hope that Taiwan and the Marshall Islands would continue to deepen cooperation in areas such as healthcare, climate change, environmental protection, and infrastructure. Ambassador Kattil emphasized that the two countries have strong diplomatic ties and that resolutions in support of Taiwan in the Nitijela have received cross-party support.

交流中,盧縣一委員表示,近年已有馬紹爾學生來台接受醫療訓練,並邀請卡蒂爾大使出席年底於桃園舉行之「泛太平洋區原住民醫師大會」(Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors Congress)。雙方亦就教育文化、漁業及醫療培訓等議題交換意見。韓院長並致贈立法院紀念高粱酒,感謝卡蒂爾大使推動台馬關係。拜會歷時約50分鐘,在互贈紀念品與合影後圓滿結束。(2026/03/26)
During the meeting, Legislator Lu noted that in recent years, students from the Marshall Islands have come to Taiwan to receive medical training. He also invited Ambassador Kattil to attend the Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors Congress in Taoyuan at the end of this year. Both sides also exchanged views on education, culture, fisheries, and medical training. Afterwards, President Han presented Ambassador Kattil with the Legislative Yuan’s commemorative Kaoliang liquor as a token of appreciation for her efforts to advance relations between Taiwan and the Marshall Islands. The meeting lasted approximately 50 minutes and concluded successfully with the exchange of commemorative gifts and a group photograph. (2026/03/26)
