立法院江啟臣副院長本（6)月1日下午在國民黨陳永康委員、陳菁徽委員、牛煦庭委員的陪同下，接見「加州大學柏克萊分校東亞研究所美台歐下世代工作群（U.S.-Taiwan-European Next Generation Working Group）」訪問團。
On the afternoon of June 1, Legislative Yuan Vice President Dr. Johnny C. Chiang (江啟臣), accompanied by KMT Legislators Adm. Chen Yeong-Kang, Chen Ching-Hui, and Niu Hsu-Ting, received a delegation from the U.S.-Taiwan-European Next Generation Working Group of the Institute of East Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
團長諾丁漢大學副教授暨台灣研究中心主任李駿怡（Dr. Chun-Yi LEE）副教授感謝江副院長及各位委員撥冗接待。她表示訪問團為美台歐下世代工作群第三屆研究員，團員都是優秀的學者專家，本次蒞院拜會盼就美歐台關係、國際情勢與政黨合作策略等議題與在座委員交流。
Delegation leader Dr. Chun-Yi Lee, Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham and Director of the Taiwan Studies Programme, thanked Vice President Chiang and the attending legislators for taking the time to receive the delegation. She noted that the delegation comprised the third cohort of research fellows of the U.S.-Taiwan-European Next Generation Working Group, whose members are all distinguished scholars and experts. Dr. Lee added that the purpose of the visit was to exchange views with the legislators on topics including relations between the U.S., Europe, and Taiwan, as well as the international landscape and strategies for inter-party cooperation.
江副院長代表立法院誠摯歡迎訪團，他指出，近兩年世界局勢變化甚鉅，能源、軍事及經濟等面向的安全議題已超越氣候變遷成為超級強權最關注項目，台灣雖然在國際政治上面臨困境，但擁有世界最大半導體產業，台股市值也攀至全球第五大，充分展現台灣的經濟影響力。面對外部挑戰，他認為應該堅守「3D戰略」，即以民主（Democracy）為最高價值，透過嚇阻（Deterrence）與對話（Dialogue）交互支持，並且與美國、歐洲及所有理念相近國家攜手合作，為區域和平與全球繁榮貢獻心力。
In his remarks, Vice President Chiang first extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of the Legislative Yuan. He noted that the international landscape has changed dramatically over the past two years, with security issues relating to energy, military capabilities, and the economy surpassing climate change as the foremost concerns of the world's major powers. Vice President Chiang said that although Taiwan faces challenges in the international political arena, it is home to the world's largest semiconductor industry, while the market capitalization of Taiwan's stock market has risen to become the fifth largest in the world, demonstrating Taiwan's significant economic influence. Vice President Chiang also stressed that, in the face of external challenges, the “3D Strategy” should be steadfastly pursued—upholding Democracy as the highest value, reinforcing Deterrence through Dialogue, and working together with the United States, Europe, and other like-minded partners to contribute to regional peace and global prosperity.
雙方隨後就青年參政、對美關係、政黨合作、國防政策與軍購、國際援助等議題，進行廣泛且深入的意見交換。此次拜會歷約1小時，討論熱絡；雙方於互贈紀念品及合影後，結束此次交流。(2026/06/02）
The two sides subsequently held extensive and in-depth discussions on a wide range of issues, including youth participation in politics, Taiwan-U.S. relations, inter-party cooperation, defense policy and arms procurement, and international assistance. The meeting lasted approximately one hour and featured lively discussions. Following the exchange of commemorative gifts and the taking of a group photograph, the visit concluded successfully.
