立法院韓國瑜院長於本（7月30）日下午在國民黨陳永康委員、徐巧芯委員、民進黨林楚茵委員及民眾黨王安祥委員等人陪同下，接見美國聯邦眾議院外交委員會亞太小組主席金映玉（Young Kim, R-CA）訪問團一行。美國在台協會台北辦事處（AIT/T）處長谷立言（Raymond Greene）亦陪同出席。
On the afternoon of July 30, Legislative Yuan President Daniel K.Y. Han (韓國瑜), accompanied by KMT Legislators Adm. Chen Yeong-Kang and Hsu Chiao-Hsin, DPP Legislator Lin Chu-Yin, and TPP Legislator Dr. Wang An-Hsiang, received a delegation led by Young Kim (R-CA), Chair of East Asia and Pacific Subcommittee of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee. President Han first extended a warm welcome to Chair Kim on her return visit to Taiwan. He then stated that Taiwan has demonstrated vitality, and that its continued economic growth relies on its world-class manufacturing base. President Han also proudly shared Taiwan’s democratic values with the delegation. He emphasized that although the three political parties in the Legislative Yuan sometimes hold differing views on domestic issues, they share a high degree of consensus on defense and foreign affairs. Even when debates become heated, they are ultimately able to reach consensus through communication.

President Han went on to share highlights from his visit to the U.S. Congress in June, noting that the work of members of Congress involves more than interpellation and deliberation on public policy. They must also engage with their constituencies, serve their constituents, balance family life, and even mediate conflicts within Congress. He expressed hope that the delegation would introduce Taiwan to more Americans after returning to the United States. President Han once again thanked the United States for its longstanding and steadfast support for Taiwan and warmly invited the delegation to visit Taiwan again, with the Legislative Yuan hosting a banquet in their honor next time.

Legislator Hsu said that Taiwan has diverse voices and that, although there are debates on different issues, she believes that consensus can be reached on the issue of drones through discussion under democratic procedures.
