According to Article 2 of organic regulation of each Committee, Each Committee shall deliberate bills submitted by Legislative Yuan and petitions of the public. At the beginning of a session, each committee may invite government agencies concerned to make business reports and be present at the committee meetings to present their views.


According to Article 5(1)(vi) of the Procedure of Organization of Procedural Committees of the Executive Yuan, this committee is responsible to deliberate transportation, public works, communication media policies, and issues concerning the powers of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Public Construction Commission of the Executive Yuan, and the National Communication Commission.
