On the afternoon of March 4, President Daniel K.Y. Han (韓國瑜) of the Legislative Yuan, accompanied by KMT Legislator Hung Mong-Kai, received Representative Foo Teow Lee of the Singapore Trade Office in Taipei and her delegation. Representative Foo stated that she had recently assumed her post in Taiwan and was now paying a special visit to the Legislative Yuan to express her appreciation for its long-standing support for Taiwan-Singapore relations. She also expressed her hope for continued advancement of substantive cooperation and closer bilateral ties in the future.
President Han welcomed Representative Foo to her new appointment, noting that Taiwan and Singapore share deep-rooted ties and enjoy a relationship as close as family. President Han said that the Legislative Yuan would spare no effort in supporting the development of Taiwan-Singapore relations and looked forward to working closely with Representative Foo to jointly deepen the friendship between Taiwan and Singapore.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in extensive and in-depth exchanges of views on issues including educational exchanges, the internationalization of the medical sector, and parliamentary exchanges between Taiwan and Singapore. The meeting lasted approximately 40 minutes and concluded successfully after President Han presented a gift box of Taiwanese fruit and took a commemorative photo with Representative Foo. (2026/03/04)
