The functions and duties of the sections and offices of the General Affairs Department are as follows:
1. General Affairs Section: To purchase articles, organize tenders, and write off receipts.
2. Transportation Section: To arrange and manage transportation services for legislators and staff.
3. Administration Section: To take charge of technician and janitor management, floor and event venue services, site cleaning and labor insurance.
4. Repair Section: To maintain and retain all properties, buildings and articles of Legislative Yuan and the construction and repair of buildings on the site.
5. Cashier Section
(1) Payment disbursement and custody of cash.
(2) Production of the payroll and various allowance vouchers for legislators, staff, employees and parliamentary assistants.
(3) Income tax withholding affairs and production and release of income tax withholding notice.
6. Medical Room: Health examination and care for legislators, staff, employees and parliamentary assistants.
7. Security Guard
(1) Access control of Legislative Yuan, including security guards, people and vehicles.
(2) Security of the parliament area, guesthouse and legislator research buildings.
(3) Order maintenance and access control of the vehicles of reporters, legislators and Legislative Yuan.
(4) Welfare of police officers, promotion and appointment of personnel, and police force support.
(5) Prevention and rescue of various accidents, hazards and disasters.
8. Legislator Research Building: Assignment, management, cleaning and administrative support of legislator research offices.
9. Guesthouse: Management and services of the Legislative Yuan Guesthouse.
