On the morning of March 6, Legislative Yuan Deputy Secretary General Dr. Chang Yu-Jung (張裕榮) attended the inauguration ceremony of the Parliamentary Alliance for AI and Future Strategic Development of the Republic of China (Taiwan), initiated by Legislator Lo Chih-Chiang. Distinguished guests in attendance included KMT Legislators Dr. Ko Ju-Chun, Lee Yen-Hsiu, Dr. Lin Pei-Hsiang, Chang Chih-Lun, Dr. Cheng Cheng-Chien, Lo Ting-Wei, Tu Chuan-Chi, Dr. Weng Hsiao-Ling, Wang Hung-Wei, Hsu Yu-Chen, Lu Yu-Ling, Liao Hsien-Hsiang, Huang Chien-Hao, Huang Chien-Pin, Chen Ching-Hui, Wang Yu-Min, Yu Hao, Niu Hsu-Ting, Liao Wei-Hsiang, Lin Te-Fu, and Dr. Yang Chiung-Ying, who gathered to mark the occasion.
In his opening remarks, Legislator Lo, the initiator of the inauguration meeting, explained the purpose of establishing the alliance and expressed his hope that the Legislature would take a proactive role in advancing AI related issues and strengthening international cooperation. On behalf of Legislative Yuan President Daniel K.Y. Han (韓國瑜), Deputy Secretary General Chang thanked Legislator Lo for establishing the Parliamentary Alliance for AI and Future Strategic Development of the Republic of China (Taiwan). He emphasized that the alliance would serve as a platform for bringing together expert insights and further advancing the implementation of AI governance, helping Taiwan maintain its competitive edge amid a changing environment. He also wished the alliance every success and stated that the Legislative Yuan would provide all necessary administrative support whenever needed.
Legislator Ko then delivered remarks, followed by the approval of the alliance’s charter and the election of its president and vice president. Afterwards, Legislator Lo invited the attending guests to exchange views, and the event concluded successfully after approximately 30 minutes. (2026/03/06)
