According to Article 5(1)(ii) of organic regulation of Procedure Committee, this Committee is responsible to deliberate polices of foreign affairs, Overseas Chinese Affairs, National Defense, Veterans Affairs policies, declaration of war, conclusion of peace and treaties, martial law, and bills related to powers of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission, and Ministry of National Defense, Veterans Affairs Commission of the Executive Yuan.
According to Article 2 of organic regulation of each Committee, Each Committee shall deliberate bills submitted by Legislative Yuan and petitions of the public. At the beginning of a session, each committee may invite government agencies concerned to make business reports and be present at the committee meetings to present their views.
