According to Article 5(1)(vii) of the Procedure of Organization of Procedural Committees of the Executive Yuan, this committee is responsible to deliberate bills related to powers of civil cases, criminal cases, executive litigation, discipline, amnesty, organization of agencies, research and assessment, and the Ministry of Legal Affairs, the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission of the Executive Yuan, and the Central Personnel Administration of the Executive Yuan, and other bills that are not examined by the committees; bills concerning the organization of state-run businesses and agencies shall be administered by relevant committees in consideration of their nature.
According to Article 2 of organic regulation of each Committee, Each Committee shall deliberate bills submitted by Legislative Yuan and petitions of the public. At the beginning of a session, each committee may invite government agencies concerned to make business reports and be present at the committee meetings to present their views.
