According to Article 2 of organic regulation of each Committee, Each Committee shall deliberate bills submitted by Legislative Yuan and petitions of the public. At the beginning of a session, each committee may invite government agencies concerned to make business reports and be present at the committee meetings to present their views.
According to Article 5(1)(v) of organic regulation of Procedure Committee, this Committee is responsible to deliberate policies of education and culture, and bills related to powers of Ministry of Education, Council for Cultural Affairs, National Palace Museum, Government Information Office, National Youth Commission, National Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, Academia Sinica, National Science Council of the Executive Yuan, and the Atomic Energy Council of the Executive Yuan.
