According to Article 2 of organic regulation of each Committee, Each Committee shall deliberate bills submitted by Legislative Yuan and petitions of the public. At the beginning of a session, each committee may invite government agencies concerned to make business reports and be present at the committee meetings to present their views.
According to Article 5(1)(vi) of organic regulation of Procedure Committee, this Committee is responsible to deliberate bills related to powers of Ministry of National Defense, Veterans Affairs Commission.
The main function of the Foreign and National Defense Committee is to review the bills and budgets of the National Security Bureau, National Ministry of National Defense and Veterans Affairs Commission.
